Dipstick is plastic and same color as the oil

I haven't really checked my car's fluids after I got it. I kinda assumed that the dealer checked everything when it was delivered. So today I decided to check the fluid levels. Wasn't happy. The engine oil dipstick is orange and plastic and made it impossible to see the oil level. Why is the dipstick the same color as the oil? Im quite a long way from my first oil change and will this make it harder to read new oil since its the same color?

Anyone finding it hard to tell oil level?

Yes....... but you will need to wipe the dip stick DRY and pull it out and hold it level to get a read.... Shine in the dimples.......
Yes it sucks....

Remember read 5 min after shut off.
