I've had my skunk2 billet shift knob for probably about a month or 2 now and i love it. However, when I took off the black bottom of the stock knob and tried to put the nut(?) down, it seemed to be very difficult to move so I didn't want to mess it up. Is it always really tough to get on or is it the wrong size? Looking to lower the height of the knob. Thanks guys

can't remember its actually been a while since i fiddled with it. I'll try again soon and let you know. thanks man

the black nut on the stock setup holds your shift boot up. without it, your boot will sag and look like crap. lowering the knob doesnt make it a 'short throw' if you want a lower height knob. get an actual short throw shifter. youll get the look you want, plus crisp shifts.

Wanted it lower basically for aesthetic reasons. Also, short shifters i've seen say they raise knob height by an inch
