Thanks SO Much for all your input everyone! I'd love an SI but I just don't want to pay for Premium fuel (just found out about that.) Crud!
So, looks like it'll be aiming for a new 2012 EX, assuming there's one available in a few months. If they're gone by then. then I'll just go for the '13...
K, looks like the consensus is to go with the 2012 EX in this situation, and I agree.
I checked insurance rates between models (Lx, EX, Si) and there isn't much of a difference between them (at least for my situation).
Not big on the sunroof in the EX, as I'd hardly ever use it (bald and sun...
Hmmm - metric ...once you've gotten used to it. It's actually easier and makes more sense.
(Although I must say, here in Canada, we really use both interchangeably. Just depends what you're doing.)
Sleeping in - or - Getting up early to get things done.
Just thinking out loud...
I'm still on the fence between the two.
I must say that I've never ever had a problem with the AWD system in my old/sold '98 Forester, and I can only imagine how much better the new system is. I would feel very confidant in that.
My heart says "Subaru Impreza" and my...
All you Civic LX/EX Sedan owners...
If you could choose between the 2012 Civic EX w 5MT Sedan, and the 2013 Civic LX w 5MT Sedan, which would you choose and why? - Assuming pricing would be (somewhat) close to ea other.
How's your winter driving/handling going in your Civic ?
Please post:
- your Civic model
- Auto or MT
- with or w/o Snow Tires (& what kind of snow tires)
- are you located in a winter snow area? / where?
I've driven a Forester 5MT for the last 6yrs - it Was like being "on rails." Handled wonderfully in any inclement weather, and gave a lot more confidence, and got me out of situations where a fwd could only dream of ...and yes, I agree about the whole braking thing - that's where the 5MT comes...
OK, so I went to a Suby dealer Sat and test drove the new Impreza - BIG MISTAKE!! I am hooked. Man oh Man do I LIKE this car!!! It really hugs the road and is firm and well planted. Power is good - not huge or anything, but it Will do what you need it to. As I said, the handling is Great! Lower...
LOL, Too Funny! Ya, I can see that happening - complainers, etc.
I'm going to be near a Subaru dealer today, so I'm going to just drop in and take a look at the Impreza 2.0i ...just to see. What can THAT hurt eh? :)
Well, last night I did a google search on "real-world mpg...Impreza" and ended up over at NASIOC, specifically on a 2012 Impreza 2.0i thread.
To sum it up - page after page after page of '12 Impreza owners who, I'd say like 90% of whom, are Not happy with the mileage that they're getting...
Well, K7 & Mongoose - this vehicle will be my DD. You REALLY have me thinking now!
Having come from a Forester (although an aged '98) I've just loved the AWD. I'm beginning to lean towards the Impreza, over the Civic. Mileage is similar apparently. Even if the Impreza is a tad lower, it's not a...
