Finally got the downpipe on this week, and took it for a tune today. RV6 catted, only real performance mod (drop in filter doesn't count), made 205/177 on a brand new loaded dynojet. Torque curve is prairie flat, I'm pretty happy. Will have to get the screen shots of the dyno pulls.
I have 17" RSX type-S rims for my winters, but I know the earlier years 16's will work on a Si as well. If you're wanting something OEM that still looks decent, I'd keep on the lookout for a set of those.
Thanks guys! I took the car out for a lapping day Monday with everything on save the wheels. Let's just say they really aren't kidding when they push you to the yellow stuff pads for any type of track duty. This is a picture of the exact same pad at the end of the day, they definitely don't grip...
Well, August has been a big month for the car, she's been a little spoiled. Started with a Progress 24mm RSB, SPC camber bolts and arms, stainless steel brake lines, painted the calipers and swapped out the pads for EBC redstuff, ATE Typ 200 brake fluid, transmission fluid change and tonight the...
I just bought a set of these (thanks for totally putting me on to them) off Autoanything, with a 20% welcome code they came to $550, what an absolute steal!
Looking at picking up some wheels to track, as always there's some indecisiveness creeping in. I'm getting a set of Konig Hypergrams, 17x9 +40 up front, going to run a 245 or 255/40/17 tire probably around -2 camber, which shouldn't be an issue. When it comes to the back, I'm going 17x8 with...
depends on the width, but +45 is the stock offset so wouldn't be an issue, a lower offset will push them out a bit more, +35 is pretty popular on here for RPF1's
I'm one of only two 9th gens that run regularly in my area and the only Si, wish more came out around here. I'm also in STX against the barrage of FRS/BRZ twins...
I have Swift Spec R springs on my car, honestly they are the only real choice of spring if you want performance, that being said they are stiff and it is noticeable when driving. No one has ever complained in my car but rough pavement is definitely transmitted to the cabin more, but they do not...
Not much actually to the car other than a spray down at the coin wash but I did put up a Honda flag on the garage ceiling. Other than maybe some cabinets and painting the floor in the spring, the garage is pretty much done!
I'll be in South Weymouth on Friday and Saturday. There's a guy in Pennsylvania who messaged me earlier, if that doesn't pan out and I still have them I'll let you know.
Currently on a cross country drive moving from Saskatchewan to Nova Scotia. Driving through the states. Stopping in Madison Wisconsin Tuesday night. Going through to Pennsylvania Wednesday and Brewster New York Thursday. I'll be between there and Boston over the weekend before heading north...
Man for that price I'd ask and see how much extra it would be to jump up to the mini D2S kit from the H1, its a $45 difference for the kit from the H1 and significantly better output. I think it would be worth a little extra money to have them instead.
Not new, from my old car but finally got my summers back on. Also bought some Swift Spec-R springs to fix the body roll and rather noticeable wheel gap.
