I'd like to hear the answer for this as well. Funny story though: my rear end went out while on a tight turn in the snow and my red tow hook took ALL of the impact into the landscaping. It was a very minor incident, but it was cool that the tow hook got bent out of whack and I drove away scot-free.
Just vouching for the Skunk2. Sounds great outside, although it is LOUD in the cabin. And yes, I have set off car alarms in the lower rpm range (without DP).

@squiggy Last question, I promise. I got a bit confused but I understand what you mean now. I never used the retainer piece, actually, as I found it on the floor mat after the fact. Regardless, because I tightened the aftermarket extender all the way down, the two parts are now threaded together...
Oh wow...the retainer. I put the retainer between the knob and the extension piece. Wow haha. Now I have a tall thin extension piece thoroughly tightened and will be tricky to back off.

Ok, I am trying to install my new extender...my initial shift knob installation was easy. Please find the thumbails which show my current issue. When installing the extender, I tightened it down fine and added the knob on top. Well, the knob doesn't line up correctly so I went...
