HFP Exhaust/Muffler Compatibility?

This came up in conversation a couple days ago. Would the 8th ten HFP exhaust/muffler fit onto the 9th? I thought it sounded great on the 8th gen and I'm shocked they didn't come out with one for the 9th unless maybe by some slight luck they are compatible?
 
people have swapped axel backs and it worked. I think I read that one hanger didn't match up 100%, but they were still able to get it to work with little effort
 
Absolutely horrible choice in music but the exhaust sounded nice.
