Need a new bumper! - raccoon-1 car-0

So I hit a raccoon last night when it darted out in front of my car as I was driving through the country. It cracked the front bumper cover on my '13 Si. I'm out of town right now and trying to figure out if I should file a claim with my insurance or not. Has anyone ever had to replace a bumper cover before and how much was the total cost?

Msrp from Honda is like $400, but they sell it for like $300 below

Paint/labor will add another $300-500 depending on where you live.

I don't know what your deductible is, but that gives you a rough idea on paying out of pocket. If you take it to any collision shop, they'll give you a free estimate for their work.

I wouldn't even stress that. Zip it up, straighten it up, then throw a cheap lip on. Should end up costing way less than your deductible or an out of pocket cost.

Thanks for the info guys. I appreciate it. I'll be figuring it out on monday when I go get an estimate. It's good to know I can get a bumper cover cheaper than at the dealer.
