    Introduction
Whats going on Civic Gang! I'm Jay! Obviously as you can tell from the title; I'm new to this website! I hope this is where I can meet new friends and learn how to build my very first Civic! I'm from Southern California based in Sunny San Diego where the Civic scene is very, very popular! I currently drive a stock "2015 Honda Civic EX Sedan" that I just bought in February 2017! Nothing has been touched yet, absolutely nothing at all! I am hoping for the few people who actually read this form wouldn't mind giving me a hand as a start up builder?

What was featured specifications when I purchased the vehicle?
    • Window: All Rear Window Tint - 35%
    • Color: Silver
    • Interior: 9th Gen Stock
    • Exterior: 9th Gen Stock
    • Wheels/Rims: 9th Gen Stock
    • Rain Guards: No
    • Spoiler: No
    • Suspensions: No
    • Muffler: No
    • Air-Intake: No
    Requests
As you can see I haven't done anything to the car! Would someone be kind enough to lead me in the right direction where I can start getting some parts? List any websites you would recommend me going to start up my nice ride! I'd like to get the basics out of the way then I will keep updating my post overtime as I build my EX with you guys!
Please give me any advice on anything! I'm willing to learn! Please Teach me your ways! #Noob!

Welcome to the forum. Any of the vendors here will take care of you. Many of them have been sponsors of civic forums for 5-10+ years.

There are some helpful part links in the signature below my post about intakes/suspension/exhausts etc. Just know that the r18 motor is not really made to be a performance engine. "Performance upgrades" do not really do very well, and the car will continue to try and adjust air/fuel/timing if you just install aftermarket intakes and whatnot. That's not to say you cannot make some suspension tweaks to make the car much more enjoyable to drive. One of the best bang for your buck upgrades is a thicker rear sway bar on the civic according to most people. If you do want to add performance mods, you will need a product called ktuner or hondata flashpro with a custom tune to be able to actually achieve horsepower/torque gains. Otherwise the stock ecu will continue to try and compensate.

Yup, your Civic has the R18 motor in it.

Awesome! I'm still trying to get used to all the motor types and body types for my Civic EX. In order for me to start making changes "tune" wise, I would need to pretty much unlock the ECU from stock mode by taking it to a dyno right?

I can't speak for the Ktuner but the Flashpro is pretty easy to use. It even comes with some basic tunes for popular mods that can be uploaded right out of the box including a reflash for a stock civic.
