Anyone planning to watch the Olympics, or anyone looking forward to any event in particular this year?

Seems like things are kind of a mess. I've seen quite a few stories about bad living conditions for athletes, water quality issues, raw sewage, protests etc especially in the last few weeks.

Its going to be a ****-show....

I usually watch it if I don't have anything going on.

More Than 1,000 U.S. Spies Protecting Rio Olympics
http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/20...-spies-brazil-protecting-rio-olympics-n623186

"U.S. intelligence has assigned more than 1,000 spies to Olympic security as part of a highly classified effort to protect the Rio 2016 Summer Games and American athletes and staff, NBC News has learned."

maybe they shouldn't be writing a news article about this if it's so highly classified? uh

Bus full of Chinese basketball reporters caught in roadside gunfight on the way to Olympic Village in Rio

Upon their arrival in Rio, a bus full of Chinese basketball reporters was caught in a roadside gunfight. Six locals were killed in the exchange, but no Chinese casualties have been reported.

I feel bad for the swimmers dealing with this crap

Looks like a good decision to have the games there. I can say that I've watched a grand total of zero minutes of the Olympics this time around.
