Everyone:
I recently had some maintenance work done on my 2014 Civic Si. It has just over 105,000 miles on the odometer. The dealer recommended changing the serpentine belt soon, and then quoted me $210 to replace it. I thought that was borderline asinine, so I declined. The belt itself is only about $30. How difficult is it to DIY replace?

Since our engines sit sideways in the engine bay, I could see it being rather difficult. I know you would have to go through the passenger side wheel well. If I had my repair manual I could tell you exactly how difficult it would actually be but I don't have access to it right now.

Serpentine belt is really easy on our cars. The engine is a little tight to the passenger fender well but totally doable with minimal effort. Nice to have a second set of hands if you have a friend that can work the belt in the engine bay while you come from the bottom of the wheel well.
