Recently my car has been making a squeaky/rubbing noise from drivers side, usually happens at very low speed or when I'm breaking, after I come to a full stop and drive by I could smell something like an overheat smell, took it to a shop cause I thought it was the brakes but still making the noise and smell, the "specialist" told me that my rotor is bent and he "Shaved" both front ones and still making noise and smell, I don't want to buy the rotors if it could be the another problem, help me out please, thank you. btw first time here and I'm new, drive a 2013 civic si coupe, slammed on Megan coilovers, dc sri, tsudo exhaust, xxr 531 platinum 17X9 all around

Still under warranty might be worth taking it to the Honda dealer. Also, I know at least one other person who was slammed all the way was having issues with the axles binding up and eating the dust boots. Could be that also. You may be past the mechanical limits of the driveline angles.

My car smells like burning plastic from the engine after long drives wen its still hot like its melting rubber/plastic

I noticed my vtec is acting funny wen my music is loud?? It like bogs out and i noticed it for awhile but now i remembered my imid displays my vtec so i watched it and it jumps all over the place!! After 3k-4k rpm itll go from 20-50-70% then hit 20 then back to 50 even if my rpms are the same

I get that same smell too. I have about 690 miles on my 13 Civic SI.
Does anyone know what that is?

The power monitor doesnt monitor vtec it just gives a rough estimate of how much of the engines potential you're using. If you are at 70% and let off the gas a little it will go down regardless of rpm. Because letting off the gas means you are using less of the engines power. As long as the red vtec light is coming on beside the word vtec on the left side at and above 5200 rpms then the system should be working fine.

Wow, thanks. I feel better that it's not major problems.
