ok so i have an lx with hubs and caps and cant stand them. one of my fiends is selling his stock 18" veloster wheels (18x7.5 @24 ish lbs) he would give them to me for dirt cheap so im thinking of that BUT here are my issues:

1. will they fit? the bolt pattern is the same but i dono about the offset and all that.

2. they weigh like 24 lbs which is pretty heavy should i save the money and just buy a legit set of after market wheels?
 
If you care about the weight then yeah there are way lighter wheels out there. Maybe get a lighter rim but see of you can get his tires for cheap

When it comes to fitment, i know there's plenty of threads that have our exact offset listed, just look up the veloster's offset and compare
 
Do you have pics of the wheels? OEM honda wheels are around 20-25lbs.
 
Boltpattern is the same, offset is arround 40 for Veloster a bit higher for Honda same for backspacing, i think they could work but we have much more knowledgeable people than me on the forum that i am sure will weigh in.

Weight wise they're not that bad. If the price is great and you like the looks why not I assume you do not count tens of seconds on your regular driving around town ;)

Size info i did a quick tirerack search and they show a lot off possible offsets and backspacing according to wheel model.

i cant get the tires. hes asking 350 but one has curb rash so the most ill pay is 3 but i can probably get them for 250-275

Well if they fit all right and you like them, 300ish isnt bad for a full set of wheels/tires

:beer: You can always get a 6 pack and do a "test fit" then go from there...
 
You should be fine on fitment. I'm not sure what to recommend for lugnuts. Stock honda wheels have a different seat than aftermarket wheels requiring "tuner" lugs. You may have to spring for a set of stock hyundai lugs. Your stock lugs might fit but....

Check your lugs. I am not sure about the 9th gen but on my 8th the hubcaps were held on by retainer rings on the stock lugs. If so, you may not be able to reuse yours. The rings might not fit the new holes.

yeah the caps have little rings. also lugs are pricey arent they?

Wait... hang on... I'll find you something..... I saw adapters for tuner lugs to have ball seat for stock wheels....

You can get a cheap set of lugs for like $25. Lemme see if I can find those adapters....
 
i read that other thread and it looks like i should just go with new lugs
 
Heh. Yeah but you need to order new stock hyundai lugs.. which might have a different thread pitch. (they might not thread on)

Might be cheaper also with tuner lug/adapter combo.
