245s should fit pretty square on those (based on what you said earlier that the Work wheels are 8" wide) but it will depend on tire brand. Since 245 measures out to 9.6" contact patch, it says they'll be wide for the wheels; however, based on my experience running 245s on 9" wide wheels, I've seen some come in narrower than that. I would try to ensure that you have at least an inch between the barrel of the wheel and the shock (if you can) to account for the potential of 245s that come in that .75" wider to the inside or get some 15mm (~0.5") spacers for some extra room.

There is less than an inch clearance of the rim to the shock. I'll need to test fit again to get the measurements. Also need to take measurements of my snow tire set up and plug those numbers into a calculator to see approx how close the tire will be.

In a sweeping change that could save American consumers time and money -- the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on Tuesday finalized a rule that would ban surprise "junk fees" for live event tickets, hotels and vacation rentals.

The rule would require businesses to disclose total prices upfront, rather than tacking on extra costs like "convenience fees" or "resort fees" when consumers check out online.

"Whatever price you see is the price that you are paying at the end, no more mystery surprise fees at the very end of the process, which really cheat consumers and also punish honest businesses," FTC Chair Lina Khan said in an exclusive interview with ABC News.

The FTC said the final rule, which takes effect around April of next year, could save consumers 53 million hours in wasted time searching for the total price of live event tickets or short-term lodging -- equal to about $11 billion in savings over a decade.

now add contact lens websites to this list. I found some online for a good price, and then the last page after I've entered all my billing/shipping/cc info they throw in a $90 "processing fee". I see tons of sites that sell contact lenses all doing similar things now. It's a huge waste of time looking at their store prices if they're just going to tack on insane fees.

So the theory of a nuclear bomb being lost is legit? A bunch of people have claimed the drones being seen all over are US military drones with the capability of spotting radiation signatures
 
A piece of medical equipment used for cancer scans was shipped from the Nazha Cancer Center in Newfield on December 2 for disposal, but the 'shipping container arrived at its destination damaged and empty.

'The device, known as a 'pin source,' contained a small amount of Germanium-68 (Ge-68) that is used to calibrate a medical scanner's accuracy. If handled without proper gear, it can cause radiation poisoning.

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued an alert for the missing shipment deemed 'less than a Category 3,' meaning it could cause permanent injury if mishandled. The danger with losing track of radioactive material is that they can be used to build bombs.

actually @ethlar .. it says they're used in cat scans and pet scans. I just watched a yt vid of a guy replacing one in a cat scan and he used his bare hands.
 
There’s been a rumor around the drones on the east coast that they’re trying to sniff for missing radioactive materials. The location would be consistent with the drone swarms being seen.

Germanium-68 isn’t material to build a nuclear bomb, but could be used to disperse radioactive elements via a so-called dirty bomb. Its daughter product only has a half life of 68 minutes, which is phenomenally short. Faster decay than the metastable Technetium that I had in me for PET scans this time 8 years ago.

i still have yet to get to watch them service the scanners. I wonder if whatever the guy was swapping out was highly directional so he could hold certain parts

Fact-check: Drones were not tracking missing radioactive material in New Jersey​


The shipping container in question departed from the Nazha Cancer Center in Newfield, New Jersey, and contained an Eckert & Ziegler model HEGL-0132 device that arrived at its destination "damaged and empty," according to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's original notice.

The device contains trace amounts of the radioactive isotope Germanium-68, which is used as a radiation source for one of the cancer center's CAT scan machines.

James Dalzell, M.D., at the Nazha Cancer Center, told ABC News on Tuesday that the missing material has been found and has been disposed of properly.

Dalzell said the equipment was shipped via Fed-Ex, which temporarily misplaced the item. It was later found and delivered to the manufacturer.

Dalzell explained that the material was depleted ahead of its transport to the disposal facility. While there were still trace amounts of radiation, it was so low that they only needed to wrap in a few layers of Styrofoam to render it safe for transport.

In a statement to ABC News on Tuesday the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection said the device has a "very low-level radiation source that is approved for shipping through common carriers like FedEx" and "has been located, repackaged, and sent to the manufacturer from the FedEx shipping facility where it was misplaced."

Additionally, the NJDEP said drones were not used to locate the radioactive material in question.
 
it's so insane that the story keeps changing. "Shipping containers are empty", and now they're saying "fedex lost a package", but now it's been disposed of?

Great response! The vast majority of the public is wholly misinformed when it comes to anything radioactive; it is almost always assumed to be the source material for a nuclear weapon (i.e. an atomic bomb). While exposure to any radiation is bad, Germanium-68 primarily undergoes B+ decay which is an ionizing radiation (beta particles are stopped by clothing) but is significantly less severe than neutron or gamma radiation. The only real risk is prolonged exposure to sensitive areas (eyes, nose, throat, etc.) which could cause internal absorption which is why it could be a viable element for something like a dirty bomb. But, like you said, it only has a half-life of 68mins, so by the time 5 half-lives pass (5hrs, 40mins), only about 3% of the original element remain. The primary daughter of Germanium-68 is Zinc-68 which is a stable element, further making this of relatively little concern to the public.

They might actually be; my experience with Nittos is they do tend to measure out more accurate to the specified 245mm width. But, I don't tend to take the brand at face value as 9.6in measures out to exactly the 245mm in the tire sizing (basically, they're telling you the conversion and not that the tire will actually be the correct dimension). I've had some Kumhos (and a few others I can't remember) that I thought were a bit under-sized for the specified 245 width.
