I don't have streaming services anymore, I just horde $3 Anime DVDs and Blurays in my cabinet like a goblin

I was about to say… cable, net and landline? Your bill has to be more than $58/month for that1,000 CAD = $704.48 USD
Shew!
Edit: We still have cable... So I can't really talk ****. My wife (41 this year) won't give it up. We also have a 'landline' (VoIP phone via the cable provider) that she "has to have" since she likes the speakerphone better and also if the power goes out she will have a phone still... lol :facepalm:
These are our options for our local provider and I'm sure they are one year specials prices.....then they go up a **** ton. But we do the upgraded internet which is $80 plus taxes all on its own. Also, I can't see any other pricing they offer until I register an account with them.....stupid....

I mean you could, but you'd be at risk for other things being cutYeah... it's around $175/month... :facepalm:
But can't 'cut the cord' ever!

Tell the wifey if you switch to a streaming service she can get an extra long weekend vacation with the money savings.Yeah just think if I had the streaming services on top!
Edit: If it was me I'd just have internet (800Mbps or so) and then use Xfinity Stream App for some TV channels.

What show/shows or channel do you need from a cable provider?Her: We don't need money savings. We already have a good bit of money. I'd rather do both.
Me: Must be nice to be livin' the good life.
Her: Yes. We are keeping the cable service no matter how much it costs.

All of them!What show/shows or channel do you need from a cable provider?
Do you have shows you follow? I haven’t had cable or anything in like 10yrs or something, so I’m clueless as to what’s even popular or on cable these days.All of them!

These are her shows on the DVR or scheduled to record (there are other shows that are done for the season that I can't see):
* Married at First Sight
* Dateline NBC (10 of them!)
* Matlock (Yes that's her not mine!)
* Survivor (to be recorded when it starts back)
* Big Brother (not recording since season is over)
* Jersey Shore Family Vacation
Shows recorded we watch together:
* SWAT
* Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
* Chicago Fire
* Chicago PD
* On Patrol: Live
Lifetime Channel / NBC / CBS / MTV / Reelz - these are the channels that the shows above are recorded on.
Remember my wife might only be 40 (41 in August) but she's not a techy person (opposites attract right?). She's had cable since she was born... She's not about switching apps and likes everything in one place.
I have a Roku in the bedroom and have the Xfinity Stream app that she can go in there to watch her recorded shows. But if she had to go to NBC app to watch X show and then Lifetime app to watch Y show and then CBS app to watch Z show she wouldn't be happy.
I know there are free apps out there (Pluto TV, Tubi, Xumo, Crackle, Sling Free, and The Roku Channel) but to get her to use them.....
Like I said in my last post... her mentality is "we have the money so why change it to something that requires more work. I like pressing the xfinity button on the remote and it goes to my saved (DVR) shows. I like to press the 'guide' button and it shows me the live TV channels".
Good one!![]()

The heck -- those shows are almost all on Hulu!
I was thinking she was watching something really niche. The only one that she'd need Peacock or whatever for is On Patrol.
Yeah..... She's the type that didn't understand for a while why people were complaining about egg prices... OR when gas prices were high (sorry Foo) she had the mentality of "Well I need it to get to work so I'll pay whatever the price is"... :facepalm:Dang, well case closed.
