I can understand this; but, when it comes to sunofwolf, I'm glad he left and didn't return. I mean, you had to create his own spam/whore thread it was so bad. And, don't mention CA around him . . .

I was the same way, very active on all the forums I was on until the first forum I joined (back in 2004) when through a split of sorts. The basics are that the forum was bought up by one of the bigger conglomerates (I think it was Auto Forums at the time) and the head admin was getting increasingly annoyed at the expectations they were placing upon him. So, he decided to create his own forum as a result which sort of split loyalties a bit if you will. His claim was that the owners weren't doing enough to support the platform and were being unrealistic in what they wanted from the admins for peanuts in payment. The counter point was all of it was BS and the admin just wanted the ad revenue from having his own forum. All of the threads that discussed this back and forth got buried by the powers that be; but, as a result of this 'drama' I walked away from the nearly all of forums I was on for about 10yrs or so. I've only recently really started contributing to them semi-regularly again; and, I don't check in on all of them (only about a 1/2 dozen or so do I even log into now).

I’d wager whatever company bought it asked the admin to keep working on the site and offered to pay them something.
 
Finally got the 3500 lifters and camshaft back in. 4 hours to install 5 lifters. It was an awful experience.
