Good evening and thank you in advance for your help and support
I have a lot of rust underneath the filler housing and I want to repair it but I can’t remove that housing.
Any information or tips will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I wouldn’t even know where to begin. Maybe @Janz3n has a screenshot of that section of car and how it’s assembled?

Maybe start by removing the Phillips screw and the 2 bolts. Then try pulling out the plastic cover? Be careful with the little pin thing that I believe acts like the latching mechanism to lock the door. Yellow in the picture…..

Not sure if you have to remove the filler neck that's behind the quarter panel of not. There is not much info on this online that I can find.

It didn
Thank you
It didn’t go very well…For the life of me……I could not remove that cover. It’s crazy how difficult it is. I gave up.

I saw some vids on removing the gas cover door actuator on other newer Hondas and it seems the plastic cover that's around the gas cap would need to be accessed by removing the wheel well cover(as well as the wheel), then reaching up into the fender.

There also seems to be a "peg" of sorts that looks to be a push in friction fit. So maybe after unscrewing the screws you would have to pull on the plastic cover and pop out that "peg" from the body. Maybe pushing out from behind the plastic piece would help?
