Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

Uh oh.

Honda is recalling 406,290 vehicles because of a manufacturing defect that can cause the wheels to detach, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall affects Civic vehicles for model years 2016-2021

According to the documents, some accessory aluminum wheels on the vehicles may not have the correct steel bolt seat, which could cause the lug nuts to loosen and potentially lead to the wheel detaching.
——

So it says they’re inspecting the lug nuts and wheels and replacing hubs and lug nuts if needed on 2016+ civics.

If people would have just switched their wheels out to gold aftermarket alloys and open-ended neochrome lugs like they were supposed to, this wouldn't even be an issue!

This is a recall for low-steez drivers, plain and simple.

I stopped reading after you said gold...

Morning --

I'd complain about the cold, but the dense air means I'm probably getting an extra 25HP.
Don't challenge me on the science, I got a B+ in Chemistry once!

I looked up Dallas Weather... 44F currently!? With a high of 55F.

Tomorrow is going to be our 'cold' day. 46F for the high / 32F for the low.

Welp, it's that time again -- Time for more uhhh

...Baka Gaijin Tales With Ya Boi Honda-Fan-San

Today's story took place a few weeks ago while I was on vacation. It concerns the shirt below:

PXL_20251016_065056091.jpg

That's a 'Honda EG6' shirt that I got for free from helping a guy with his computer at work. I know, kind of a random gift to get, but hilariously it's not the first shirt I've gotten from helping someone with their computer. Wearing a shirt with a car on it in the US is pretty normal, I think. It's generally assumed here that you have a car until proven otherwise since we're pretty car-centric.

In Japan, I realized this is not the case but in the worst way possible, lol. I wore this shirt while using the rail system in Japan, which I thought nothing of until I realized that quite a lot of people were reading my shirt and giggling. I kept hearing the word 'Kuruma' (Car in Japanese) pop out in the otherwise garbled mess of mass-chat noise in public space. I got kind of worried about just how much of a stir my shirt was creating, but I half-convinced myself that maybe the EG6 is just that legendary. When I got back to my hotel, suddenly the hamster wheel started turning.

It probably just didn't make sense to everyone on public transportation that I was wearing a car shirt, but also taking public transit.

So yeah, I didn't wear this shirt again in Japan.

or, or.....the fact that the kanji on the shirt is not kuruma(according to google). Maybe the kanji says some thing awful or funny plus the picture of the car. In a way to describe the car pictured.

or what you said.....

Oh don't worry, I can read some Japanese! :)

The shirt just says Shibikku -- or Civic :turbospin:

Had my first Whataburger experience tonight. Def liked it and the burger was tasty and surprisingly big. Fries were also good but a bit salty. They just opened up that location 2 weeks ago? So it was a little slow but they gave us some spicy ketchup as a “bonus”? Forgot to try it as I ate the fries while driving.

There are a few more locations opening up around the Charlotte area so nice to not just have one single location. So there will be a location about 8-10 min from me and also right by the drive I make for work on the other side of Charlotte.

We also have What-A-Burger in the Charlotte area. Smash burger type of fast food which is local. It believe there are only 13 locations? Some are in gas stations. Never had it as they are on the other side of Charlotte from me and mostly all out that way and out in the “country” towards N and E of Charlotte.

i tried a Whataburger a few times when I was living in Houston, I didnt get the fuss. Maybe i just dont get it cause i didnt understand the love of the HEB grocery store either

Noticed my subwoofer stopped working the other day. Took a quick look and confirmed it was turning on. Then I found one RCA unplugged. Plugged it back in and it still won't work.
So I disconnected the loc and re connected the stock sub and it doesn't work.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for the sub?

It's Remembrance day here so I'm off work.

Or maybe another post in that thread? Not sure if those help

I got un lazy and found that thread. Looks like there's no fuse. That's not good. Hope it's just my amp.

Well. Confirmed it's not the amp. Installed the spare I have. Confirmed the stock sub is work.
The loc is turning on the sub but I'm not sure if the loc is bad or the subwoofer is bad at this point. I don't have a multimeter at home to test it.
