Finally got around to doing this mod this morning. It was very easy when following the DIY. I have the exact outcome as above. I'll keep it off for a while since the powerband feels much smoother.
Got my cover done locally. I paid $75. The guy had to do it about 5 times before he got it right. The carbon fiber pattern was messing up in the grooves. He finally got it though and it looks great now. I hardly ever see it though...
Never knew that about GPS apps for iPhone. I hate when signal slows to a crawl or I have to get rerouted and there is a long delay. I think I may get this mount and get an actual GPS to keep in the car.
