We have two sets of wheels eyed up. After the house is all sorted we will figure it out. No tires until that point. One set are 17s and less than 16lb ea, the others are 18 and previously mentioned.

    Brakes smoking

Usually when the more aggressive pads have a temperature range of 400-1400 for example, when they are below that operating range they don't operate on the molecular level to which they were designed. Bedding the pads/rotors transfers a layer of the pad material to the disk and that allows this...

I disagree with running XP10s on the street. Their operating temperature range is ~400-1600F. A performance street pad would be the bobcat, with AX6 the next step up. Everyone will have their own opinion though. I personally run Performance Friction Z-Rated on the street and PFC11 on the...

    Brakes smoking

Those aren't cracks. That's the pad material separating from the backing plate. I saw this happen at T1 at AMP when a E92 M3 applied the brakes at 140 and his HAWK DTC pads sheered off the backing plate. It was a little joke. The only moisture produced from my car is out of the muffler. But my input/output/selector rod trans seals and rear main were replaced earlier this year because they were at end of life at 120k miles. OEM bushings are also great for what they were designed to do...

Yessir. Not a "race" but a charity event. 200 miles of headwind along the coast of FL. The m3 has been run once since May anyway so wouldn't even be ready to take to the dragon if I could.

I borrowed my friends '14 stumpjumper who was a big DH guy, so rides flats. I got rid of my SPD's when I sold my singlespeed so just rode with nike sneakers and his shin eating pedals. Yeah. Shin eating is accurate. Never again.
