Member Locations - User Location Map

re: Location - Webby This should be an option on the member profile page, and if chosen should be displayed with the Member Name on each posting. I agree with MissE that zipcode may be too personal so Near Albany NY, or Western MA would work for me. The "Google Map" thingy has very few entries...

Our Si Sedan is ...1137 and we're not having an issue at 5400 miles. Wonder if it's an assembly problem - we'll probably never know. Hope yours is "cured" shortly.

    Auto On Headlight Issues

Just figured out what it all means in the 2012 Si Sensitivity is just what it means - how sensitive! Max is most sensitive "brightest" Min is "dimmest" There's a 5-second delay between triggering and coming on or going off. (Used a flashlight to test this function.) With ours set on Max the...

    Does your Si burn oil?

This was my original entry from Jun 21st: "First checked at about 1,000 miles and it was about 1/4 qt. low. Checked yesterday at 2,698 and it was the same. I'm babying Mr. Blue and averaging 31.48 mpg (80% around town). Computer is showing 33.2 (about 5.5% high). The 2 short (200 - 300 mile)...

Kia Sorrento Gas Pedal Stuck 120mph

e-Brake will NOT begin to slow any car if the accelerator is pushed down and the car is going above about 20 mph on a level road. The brakes quickly overheat and friction is greatly reduced. Most cars can not stop using the regular brakes if the car is moving and the engine/tranny is held in the...

    "Jerky" coasting problem

Agree it's minor - just wanted to make sure it wasn't my imagination. And, now that we've got Rev Hang under control, there aren't any other issues - purrrr!

    "Jerky" coasting problem

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. Interesting that the only related post I've seen for the 9ths was part-throttle jerkiness (my words) AFTER the Hondata ECU Re-flash.

    "Jerky" coasting problem

Yes, the cruise control is very steady and pleasant except on long downhills where the transition from power on/off is similiar to someone tapping (very lightly) a tune with the right foot on the gas pedal. It's like the engine is "hunting" for the right amount of power to apply but is over...

    "Jerky" coasting problem

Only sure of 6th, use lower gear only when desending "steep" grades and speed is increasing too much for the speed control to react. PS - Love the cruise control re-engaging up- or down-shifting.

    What Does Your Username Mean?

When we got our first kitten the kids thought she was backward - thus her name was Tac, the cat. Had her for 17+ years and she was the consummate Red Squirrel catcher.

    "Jerky" coasting problem

Well, now that we've got the Rev Hang fixed, we've noticed our Si Sedan doesn't like to coast going down longer downhills, even slight ones, at Highway speeds 55+ +++. It holds the speed where it's set but it's "jerky".

    Does your Si burn oil?

Just the opposite - We only run 87 and have no oil consumption over 4,000+ miles in New England. We're easy on the gas (rare VTEC) and are averaging over 32 mpg (actual) since new in January (Brrr). Plan on trying 91 "just 'cause" but have no problem with ping or lack of power (ie getting the...

2012 Civic Si Rev Hang - Software Update

There is NO CAMPAIGN for this issue (see my post) If your production date is earlier than November 2011 (my FB6 s/n is 701137) and you're unhappy with the Rev Hang, offer to pay for it if it doesn't "pop" the PGM-FI code. I'd also call HONDA Customer Service and complain about the lack of...
