    Regular Vs. Premium Fuel

Great info! Was the initial run with the stock tune or the FP base tune? Wondering if "crappy" or old gas was reason for the original readings? (But then again, I'm not sure I'd want to hammer a new Si before it's broken in.) Have others provided this type of info relating to knock & retard vs...

Transmission Problems - How to Approach Service Department?

How long have you had this intermittent set of problems over the 10,000 miles of ownership? ie Just recently or since the beginning? Has this been reported to the dealer previously? Sounds/acts like a clutch engagement/linkage adjustment issue but if they won't provide you a loaner while they...

Am I the only one who doesn't have an SI?

The auto cruise resume you're complaining about is perhaps one of the best features in the Honda line-up; IMO the cancel/resume button feature is second. Once I'm above 25mph I rarely use the GO pedal. Only problem I have is remembering right from left - the wife hates it when I try and...

    car get broken into

Rather than taping plastic on just get a large enough sheet to close the door on it - might be a pain when driving but it will keep the weather out. Depending on where you live you'll risk being ticketed for driving with an obstructed view, unless you use clear see-through plastic.

    It's 35 degrees....

Last winter our Si Sedan had no issues with the windows when we had snow and ice with nighttime lows in single digits. Admittedly we didn't lower them very often, just to pay tolls and such and the car would have been warmed up by then. More likely a battery or ground issue - it's new and under...

2012 Civic MPG - share your current gas mileage

Our '12 Sedan gradually increased from 28 to 32 mixed over the first 3000 miles of gentle driving. The last 8,000 we're up to 33.1 calculated. Ambient temperature i.e. very cold or lots of AC can drop it 2-3 mpg.

2012 Civic MPG - share your current gas mileage

The three or four times I've driven to no bars (34 to 43 miles beyond Lo-Fuel) I've taken 12 to 12.2 gallons which implies I had 1 to 1.2 gallons left. The dozen or so times I've filled up near the Lo-Fuel lighting (at 2 increments) I'm calculating 2.5 to 2.7 gallons left - but I only do one...

    Si all motor question

"E-85 is pump gas. It is available at most gas stations." WRONG! E85 is 85% Ethanol where "pump gas" is E0 (AKA real gas), E10, or E15. Each is readily available in most areas. It is exclusively for "flex-fuel" vehicles (aka gas hogs) which typically get about 33% less than on e10 It sounds...

2013 Civic Si HFP - 6th Gear hard to engage

We had trouble "finding" 6th for the first few days until we figured out it's just straight back from 5th with "no effort" to move the shifter to the right. But, if you're worried take it to the dealer to check out.

    Premium Gas or Mid Grade??

We've got over 11,000 miles on our 2012 Si Sedan. 37 fill-ups only one was premium (91) 'cause it was only 10 cents more per gallon than 87. Overall mileage (calculated) is 32.07mpg. One tank of premium all interstate +5 mph to 70 mph was 33.1 mpg - regular (87) was 33.3 to 35.4 at +5 to 70 mph...
