    Vendors help me out!

How long is your drive to the border? I use a service that receives my parts and I go across the border to pick them up. I use this: http://www.usaddressinc.com/index.html. I bet there's something like this closer to you.

    Navigation Reset

Glad you got it to work!!! I was trying the reset procedure for another model (Pilot I think) and was going from memory. But I realized that the Civic unit didn't have a "Menu" button. The Honda navi units are all similar, but differ a little here and there- but I'm glad you were able to figure...

Typo (corrected) on my part - don't pull the power! You may only have to hold the audio on/off for 2 seconds when it asks for a code in any event. Went and tried it on my car.. hold map/guide, DEST, and cancel for 3 seconds. The screen will change and follow the previous instructions and you'll...

I'm sure that pulling the power will not reset any personal info in the navi unit.

map/guide, dest, cancel - hold for three seconds...select detail information and settings...select unit check...select ecu info...select mem clear. I haven't tried this on mine and have limited resources at home. If this doesn't work let me know and I'll get the answer for you tomorrow. You...

    Premium Gas or Mid Grade??

But modern engines adjust timing during start up - they advance timing until they ping then then set - therefore the higher octane the more advance! Honda V6's have have operated this way since the second gen Odyssey. Acuras maybe before.

    Premium Gas or Mid Grade??

Let me say this about that. I also own an "old school" Miata - no variable valve timing - nothing fancy, just a straight forward car. Add four degrees timing advance and premium fuel and it transforms the car-pulls harder and gets to the redline faster...just sayin' is all...

    2013 Si Rim Pitting

I can't speak for every Honda dealer, but I've work for a few over the years and whenever we have rotated tires, we have always balanced the two that go to the front - saves headaches later.

    2013 Si Rim Pitting

Whenever you have to remove tires from alloy rims you risk the chance of damaging the the finish of the rim and even the tire. Newer tire changers minimize this. All balancers have a large threaded rod that goes through the center of the wheel (as do some older style changers). Its very easy to...

Nope - 3 years 60,000 km. Go to the dealer. If you have to ask to let the DSM see them next time he's in.

    Does your Si burn oil?

Yes check on level ground first! There is no sensor specific to oil life. The maintenance minder looks ant several different things to determine oil life, including temperature and drive cycles. I don't follow it. I change my oil every 6000km. The maintenance minder in my mind is nothing more...

    Cracked Windshield

Its possible that there's a defect, but more likely there was a small chip or bull's eye in the glass. Temperature change can make the glass crack if there's a chip. I drove 2 years with a small chip in the windshield of my truck. One February evening I was taking my son to his hockey game and...
