A GTR or a WRX STI or a 370z is heavier than an Si, they're also way faster than LX or Si. Performance wise weight is not everything thought too much of it can spoil the fun a bit.

Didn't find a proper road to try it yet but i plan to, stock springs so I will take it easy ;) The technique is called lift off oversteer, very useful for FWD and AWD and very practiced in rally driving.

So that makes the Si 10% heavier but with an engine 25% bigger still bigger potential if you mod both the same way :) ( 300 / 2900 and .6 / 2.4 used for calculation )

I had a similar experience but middle of the thread and I patched it, i go hard on it as well but i did my research and the location matters a lot. Actually flooring a car does not yield the best results :) A Vette floored either will get its power cut due to tc kicking in or it will burn tires and still not move as fast as desired with TC off. Flooring the Si does not make it go the fastest, properly working the clutch, gears and throttle...

Lowest trim 370z in Canada starts at 41 MSRP 43 with levies before taxes, Si is at 26 MSRP 28 with levies before taxes, one trim only (Navi).

Seeing dazed looks of BMW, Audi and Mercedes owners when a Si just left them in the dust is priceless ha ha :) Top models the Si has no chance but the entry levels are most of them slower.

Agreed. Each car is a combination of all its functional elements and each requirement has a better car for it. That basically makes this discussion incomplete though :)

On the track an RWD car has lots of advantages, i would take an S2K any day over my loved Si. Best is MR RWD but those are always pricey. I do agree for the price Si is more than a decent beast with some proper mods, FWD and all :)

Oh, those pesky sensors. Very happy the Canadian models don't have it, I actually looked at what models have it Canada when i bought my Si. I cannot imagine how somebody can drive with a flat or low pressure tire and not feel it... I did see people driving with their engine shield dragging on...
