C'mon somebody has to know. I found another '14 white civic that I might try and get and get hfp suspension kit thrown in so can swap the springs.

2013 Civic "Premium Audio System" Navigation Stereo Upgrade

Yeah you're right. I was think too deep and thinking there might be some slight wiring changes. At worst there would be different color changes. And I won't be getting a '14 civic. The last white one in houston was sold out from under me. My salesman did tell me their whatever the guy's...

2013 Civic "Premium Audio System" Navigation Stereo Upgrade

Actually I read the whole thread. I recognize the amps are probably the same. The head unit is different. Might be a difference. If I trade in my civic this weekend I am going to request the wiring diagrams and compare. Just trying to find out if anybody has upgraded yet as I am pricing...

22mm progress rear sway bar coupe si

were you all talking about sways for 2012? front is 18 and rear is 15. on 2013, 2013 si that is, it is 21 and 18 respectively. if op has 18 now, i think the 21 front bar can be had for less than $50. might want to check.

    thinking about pioneer 80prs...

oh another great question. i plan on taking my car apart and dampening it in the next month or so. would it be of great convenience and money saved when installation time comes to run my power from battery through the grommet in the floor and run the length to the back of my car and couple...

so 2 2ch amps for mids/tweets or one 4ch amp for front stage? i am guessing a 4ch amp would presumably be cheaper and more balanced but i am also considering the possibility of future breakdown/replacement and possibly putting one 2ch amp under each seat. lol. stuff for car audio is more...

I was curious if a tweeter would balance well off the head unit. It doesn't take a lot for tweeters to get loud. But you are correct, better sound would be had from an amp. I am unsure how the crossovers work also. I would have to assume if pioneer is advertising it as active then it would...

    thinking about pioneer 80prs...

Do tweeters need as much amplification as the mids? I am unsure about this part since it seems like giving tweets ~100watts would be unnecessary but I would guess that needs to be adjust by gain and other adjustments. And what did you mean by the last question. If I ditch the OEM system...

    thinking about pioneer 80prs...

I am not talking about the passive crossovers that come with components. I want to equalize direct from the head unit.

    thinking about pioneer 80prs...

another question. if i got the 80prs or another head unit with active crossovers, would a 4 channel amp be necessary or could i power the tweeter off the head unit sufficiently? i haven't found a clear answer or my search skills are less than par today.

wow. i dug a little deeper on the pioneer 99prs and it doesn't have bluetooth out of the box and a 2.5mm jack!! WTF?! gotta buy a bluetooth adapter and 2.5>3.5mm adapter? and msrp $1200? LOL. hell no pioneer.

get some high bit rate flacs or even .wav files. or use some old cd's or buy some cheap ones used just to convert them to flac's. and make sure you throw in a nice selection of fully featured bands with real instruments. some folk music/blues/acoustic/classical. you'll appreciate it. even if...

    2013 Civic rev hang

and it's not that bad either. i don't think i posted on here, but i generally get just hang up to +1-200 rpms usually, and very rarely 500+. i've adapted my driving style a lot lately coming from a full sized truck. the problem with that is lsd kicks in too fast and/or unexpectedly and...

How to make your car slow

handling you mean? possibly aerodynamics too depending on the rest of the car which in turn may also improve mpg depending if the aero and drop is right on the money.

    thinking about pioneer 80prs...

you're absolutely right. audio is a personal choice. what works for you may not work for others. now that i think about it, i haven't tried "listening" with rear only, but i am pretty sure it will be wimpy for me. moving on, i fall into the category of listening to a wide selection of...

    thinking about pioneer 80prs...

I guess I was in that school of thought about the rears but as I've been listening to others peoples setup with scrutinizing ears and the funny looks I've had when messing with the fade and I realized the rears are only necessary when you have rear passengers. I rode in my truck all weekend and...

    thinking about pioneer 80prs...

Lol. I've been listening to other peoples setups lately, custom and OEM, and it is few and far in between when rears do a setup justice. I plan on going around 100w RMS in the front and 250 or 500 for the sub. And no. I don't want all bass. Having an extremely good sound system in my living...
