I don't like the fact that in the 9th gens, I can no longer access the trunk via a release from the back seat and also the deletion of center console/shifter ambient lighting between the map lights.
True, $765 is a lot of money for about 12lbs more tq and 23 hp. I bet the driveability is much better though. Iin this example, this car had intake, DP and exhaust. I know I saw Vit's tuning on a completely stock Si and gains up to 21 hp (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but again, that's...
I doubt it as the cables are not really put in a lot of stress to stretch them out. Yes, they get pulled and tugged but not enough to stretch braided wire. They use braided wire in winches and towing for a reason.
Haven't been on here a while but I did managed to get the Buddy Club Short Shifter last month. It certainly makes the shifts shorter and possibly the best mod for under $125. The installation was straight forward and you'd probably spend more time taking off the center console than installing...
My apologies. I read the thread again from the 8th civic and I am mistaken. It was not the plastic that snapped but the metal that did. I guess Buddy Club realized this so the metal shaft that is used for the 9th gens are now forged steel.
The picture i've seen is definitely the cage that was broken. The pivot point was snapped on an 8th but then again 8th and 9th are different designs. Just wanting to see if any 9th owner had problems with the BC.
I was debating whether to get this shifter or not but I've read that the BC shifter for the 8th gen had some problems with the cage breaking. Looks like the same plastic material that was used for the 8th gens is also used for the 9th gen. Can anyone that have this give an update review in...
Thanks for the numbers. I'm not sure what factory specs are but I think 1.8 and 2.3 are a bit much. I think 1.5 would be ideal setting for better handling without sacrificing tire wear. I guess I would need to get rear arms to be able to adjust to my liking.
Thank you all for the replies and photos. Pro kit should serve my purpose. Install shouldn't be a problem but haven't lowered anything since 2007. I've been mostly doing suspension lifts for Toyota Tacoma, 4runners and FJ's for the past few years. SI will be my daily driver. Aside from the...
Just got back into an SI this past Sunday and I was gonna leave it stock as it will be my daily driver and my second vehicle but I just can't stand that huge gap between the tires and fender. I just want a subtle drop so I'm thinking Eibach pro kit with its 1.2" drop all around should suffice...
Back in the SI again. It was like pulling teeth though. End of 2013 and dealers are still trying to hold onto their SI like it was gold. Went to 4 dealership and none of them wants to budge and even trying to charge me a mark up (between $1-$3k). The 4th dealer broke down and got my 13 base...
All dealership can be kind of shady. I guess it all depends on who you talk to. Unfortunately, the salesman that helped me get my civic no longer works there. We were looking and bought another Honda at Honda cars of corona. They tried to be shady by saying they misquoted me on the price of...
When I had an 8th gen, I tried a a few intakes (weapon-R, K&N, and settled with the modified MAF/AFE/TBS combo) with the SI the only one that gave a cell was weapon-R. On the R18, a tbs with the thermal gasket gave the gas cap code immediately and I found out it was due to the thermal gasket...
We own two civics, I've taken one here before twice and both experience was not good. The first was for a TPMS sensor malfunction in one wheel, took the car here and they said it just needs to be air and reset the system. Next morning light was on again. Took the car here before 8am and they...
I created a thread called "2013 HU removal" with some pics.
Thanks to immajackuup for suggesting putting the LOC after the HU. The signal is much better than from behind the rear speakers. I also just used a simple LOC instead of the one with the "remote wire" which is useless if you don't...
