    Clutch Noise

Just some outside info after coming back to this thread in a minute but my stock clutch was chattering and the springs were loose. Had rub marks on a few springs as well, not detrimental but annoying for sure. I replaced it and also upgraded to a CC stage 1.5 full organic sprung clutch capable...

    Shudder when engaging clutch

With the parking brake engaged your not allowing your clutch to put the max torque transfer through without plain stalling and thus just slipping the clutch which in turn is overheating it to a degree and could cause more issues. Just my experience I have a stage 1.5 comp clutch kit and act...

    Shudder when engaging clutch

My first question would be if they/you broke in the new clutch properly? (assuming yes) Did you see the replacement parts they took out and "replaced again" to check for any scoring/overheating marks and/or proper bedding of the materials? Any axle issue usually comes with a vibration, usually...

    Average coolant temp?

Average temp can get up to 215 depending on vehicle and coolant system. 195 for us "hondas" is about perfect IMO. I used torque to doc. my temps and 205 on hard driving is about my peak honestly.

Potential 9th gen Factory Manual help

There may be a Haines out there but I'm a big believer of factory manuals being a mechanic myself. This was just a thought since back in 2015 that I wanted to share.

Potential 9th gen Factory Manual help

This is a thought to help the community to get a factory repair manual accessible to the general public. We all know (for the most part) that we can pay to obtain info from the Honda dealer RM's. I personally need to find info "per Honda" to verify torque specs and possible steps in the...

2012 si coupe Installed after market clutch and Every Cel imaginable lit up

Another 1200 is not within the budget right now or I would drop it np. Trust me I would rather buy dp/fp than a 1100 trans. I appreciate the feedback @PRO Civic. Came across this trying to fish up info that I thought would be worth sharing as I'll probably look into it and confirm it works. "A...

    Pulls right

Try rotating one of the rear tires in place with one of the fronts see what happens. I had to rotate mine 3-4 different ways till I could make it go away and find what combo in the front wanted to work best. Sorry to hear you had to spend money and not having been told a proper reason why it did...

2012 si coupe Installed after market clutch and Every Cel imaginable lit up

I was thinking overall weight assuming the flywheel was constant. This being different weights in the clutches and pressure plates which is not as significant but still was an idea. I was not aware of the ACT being within weight range so I will look into that. I just don't want to have to buy a...

    Pulls right

Let me ask this what type of tires do you have? Stickier tires can do that but the main reason is the tire shape. If you look from behind the vehicle at a tire it looks like a rectangle for a basic shape. Now that rectangle isn't exactly built with to parallel sides when it comes to tires. They...

That's what I wanted to hear, and yes your right on that part number and the stage 1.5 according to k series parts the part number is 8037-1500. But here's another question because on Amazon there is a stage 2 with a 8037-2100 that has the "same" shipping weight as both s1/s1.5 so is that a...

    Pulls right

Tire's 100%. I battle this often with Khumo ecsta ps90's. Car drove straight when cruising but if you step on the gas even a little it yanked you right in to the ditch. Swapped front tires left to right and the pull changed directions. Had to rotate the tires many different ways until I finally...

The part number on the ebay listing as stated Manufacturer Part Number: 8037-Stock I would prefer the 1.5 full face if it's interchangeable as I assume so.

2012 si coupe Installed after market clutch and Every Cel imaginable lit up

I'm hoping I'm just over thinking all this but I don't have a lot of down time to fix the car so I want it to be right the first time. First, I understand all the info about the clutches matching, not matching, flywheel changes per type of clutch and application, flashpro possibilities, etc...

    Want To Buy Valve cover

What level of vibration is normal

This may not apply but what I've experienced with most 4 cyl's is around 2500-3000 there is a minor as can be vibration difference. I only noticed it at a stop in neutral, every Toyota car or truck do it that I've tried it on at work. 4 cyl's can't balance as good as v6/v8 so I assume it's a...

Wheelies are down the road lol but I have tried to get the practice in. Working later into the day now so I don't work but weekends on it. I'll try to make some progress this weekend, rear brakes have been giving issues bleeding and priming after putting on an extended line. New chain and...
