I have gone through the suggested break-in period of 600 miles and not breaking 4k rpm. When should I get my first change? Wait for the i to show up, indicating service is required or go ahead and change the oil sometime soon? Thanks in advance!

15% on the imid never failed me on numerous hondas

I followed the 1200mile break-in service suggested on all my Mcars. I have also sent oil samples to Blackstone that confirm that is not a bad idea to follow on any car, especially a high revving engine like ours. Considering there is elevated levels of metals in the oil on new engines I went ahead and did my first oil change at 1500 while following the break in protocol. The break in is just as important, if not more, for the transmission, brakes, LSD...

I've read that Honda has a oil formula in their factory filled cars, and that they want us to leave it in for 5000 miles before changing.
Other wise I have before, always changed 1st oil after only a few 100 miles. but went with their suggestion this time.
