So today I took a 3hr trip with my Si, was selling my old RPF1s off my EM1 that I sold in Dec. Had a buddy ride along with me, it was his first time riding in my car

I have to say, the seats are GREAT....the bolsters aren't stiff stiff or soft. They contour the body right. My friend also liked the seats, and the fabric too. Was never feeling sleepy, no back strain. My friend on the other hand, fell asleep lol. He said they were perfect for falling asleep in lol. Like every Honda I've owned, there was air coming in through the door handles, nothing bad just thought I'd point that out. Kind of miss the Beefier door panels, in my 8th I was so used to resting my arm on the door panel while driving. In the 9th you still do it, but it's not as comfortable. Havent really noticed the flexing door panel issue I've seen people complain about in other forums. There was some road noise but not enough to where it was overwhelming. The center armrest despite not being adjustable, was in the perfect spot for me, really don't miss my 8th armreast. Guess I've gotten used to it. Overall the interior is great, always felt comfortable, everything is to me is in the best spot, no more parking brake resting on the thigh/knee(very annoying)

Driving the whole trip was good, the K24 to me really shines on the hwy. Was always able to pass someone in 6th gear, rarely had to downshift in order to pass. The Tq really helps, Honda did a great job with adding Tq. The tone of the K24 sounds a bit lower then the K20, you can still hear it but it's slightly lower which I like. The rev hang does show it's ugly head at times, but I've gotten used to it. Hope Hondata comes up with FP soon. My friend really liked how smooth the engine was while i was passing in 6th gear. I even got a chance to hit 100mph(no racing lol) the car felt stable, smooth,it really got up there quick. Overall great job with the K24, think the 8th should've came with this motor in the beginning. I've noticed I have never needed to hit redline in order to accelerate/speed up, I usually end up shifting around 4500-5200rpm, like i mentioned before the tq increase really helps. "But the K24 doesnt rev high" Yea I know but do you really need to rev at 9k everytime? Thats the one thing I get from my 8th buddies, I havent really missed it. Now gas MPG is iffy, I notice I get 30mpg but I doubt that the figure is correct, I left with a half tank, the trip was a bout 120miles give or take, once i got there i was about 5 bars. Left and about over halfway there i needed to refuel, so about 160-170miles from half a tank. Not complaining, still great mpg compared to my EM1 which got 200miles a tank...no sure why.

The car overall is great, love it to death, if i could do it again i would stay with the 9th, best bang for the buck, sporty, quick, and comfortable. Ran into a couple of 8ths on my trip and got some stares , guess they were jelly of my ride..lol...hope you'll enjoy this review, hopefully get a GoPro2 soon to record some drives.

:yeahthat: ..glad you're enjoying it

Still learning the ropes with ours, and waiting for the salt and sand to clear off the roads.
Concerning the "rev hang"
Try this: When shifting engage the clutch just enough (about 1/2 down in ours) to make the gear change - having the seat farther back than normal makes it much easier.
(I found putting the seat back as far as you can so you can just comfortably engage the clutch actuated starter switch enough to start the engine helps tremendously.)
Presto - no Rev Hang! We're still in the break-in mode but the significant overrev at part throttle (red lights and VTEC on test drive) is gone.
(I can't take credit for this - I "saw it on the Internet" so it must be true!!!)
Enjoy!

Great review! I'd love to go for a ride in one and check it out :D
