Does anyone have pics on the oem ambient lighting. Is it worth the 90 dollars and is it bright enough?
 
I have it, and I will say the only reason it is worth it? Is the ease of wiring straight into the factory harness. Just plug and play so its really nice. Then I plan on just replacing the bulbs with brighter ones
 
I'd have to agree with Dennis.

There is another thread that discusses these lights. I put a picture of mine under that topic. For whatever reason there is a plastic cover over the lights that really restrict the output. Once you cut that out they are better.

I am gonna do that today and see how much better it makes it....who puts blue covers over an already dim light!!?!?!?
 
I downloaded the instructions how to install them from collegehillshonda and it doesn't look very easy but I'm going to do it myself. Honda dealership charges an arm and a leg. Thanks for the info, so to make it brighter just cut the plastic covering? I take it that they are not leds.

Yeah just cut the plastic covering....I thought the instructions looked complicated too, but trust me they are not by any means. BAsically just take out the glove box, run the wire behind the dash, pull out the piece of dash around the steering wheel (where change compartment etc is) unplug the wire for traction control, this will feed into the new harness, then plug the main plug into the factory wiiring, ziptie it all in, secure the lights with brackets and presto! All done
