Not even two months in. Driving home last night around 11pm and I heard a thump. Though I mighta ran over something that kicked up onto the car. Got home and looked down the side to see raw egg streaked all the way down it. Got all the equipment out to do a full wash at MIDNIGHT when I had to be up in the morning. Got to work today to further inspect it, all the egg was gone, but it left me with this. Gouged the paint all to hell and scratched it all down the side.

It wouldnt bother me so much, but my intent was to purchase and keep this car with a blemish free accident record. Now when I sell it, it'll pull up that it was previously repaired.

That really sucks...what is wrong with people?

Are you paying for this out of pocket, or through an insurance claim? A shop doesn't have to report stuff if it's not done through insurance. It won't show on a carfax. The way carfax stuff is generated, is due to insurance company filings. One reason a carfax isn't entirely accurate.

It's unbelieveable that an egg could do that kind of damage, Sorry it happened.......... What part of this world do you live in?

Not too sure yet. I just called my insurance company this morning when I found it. I'm gonna go get an estimate this week, but the handle and half the door has to be painted and blended. My deductible is $200 so if it's much more than that I'm just gonna have to suck it up and take the mark

Believe it or not I was traveling through a pretty affluent part of town, Alpharetta GA. Where I live isn't too bad either.

Too bad you couldn't get a hold of the little brats' parents, that probably did this, and make them ante up for the cost.

Unfortunately, there are inconsiderate people everywhere. Hopefully Karma will pay them back.

Sorry man. :sadwavey:

Well that makes since....... Who else can afford to waste eggs

I caught one of three kids that threw a dirt ball at my car back when I had a Mustang KCII , I drove on past like nothing happened and went till I was out of sight then came back on a parallel block parked and came up on them in the dark. I caught one that had a bicycle, I then grabbed the bike and asked him if he would mind if I smacked it up against a tree? He said he won't, and I said, think about it the next time you get the urge to throw something at someone elses car, and went on my way(without hurting him or his bike)
The dirt glanced off my windshield with only a nick.

I heard that. I didn't even know what it was till I got home. I would have never expected an egg. Lol

Really sorry that happened to you. I just saw a house today that had been TP'd and had shaving cream or spray paint all over the lawn

Alpharetta/Johns Creek is full of rich snotty brats that get away with everything. I hate it...

Like they really pay attention to it though? Probably skip class most of the time to do drugs in the local parking lots. Heard about a lot of this recently. School is out though...
