Are my coilovers installed upside down?

Ok this may sound like a dumb question but I need some advice from someone who was coilovers installed, even better if they are Ksports. Basically, I had a buddy install these and the rears use a separating coil system and he had never installed one like this before. I've had them for months with no problems but recently my upper rear isolater cups or "bump stops" came out and caused a lot of knocking noise in my rear. Here is a pic of the bump stop thing that goes on top of the spring.

So today we put the bumper stop thing back on and while driving home it was still making a knocking noise, although not as bad. So I looked up installation instructions from Ksport and I saw this diagram and noticed mine is opposite. My adjustment is on the top, there's shows it on the bottom. Here are some pics.

Anyone who could share some insight, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Orientation looks correct.
Looks like you're missing something on the bottom of the spring though..

Well in the diagram the threaded adjustment with the locking collar is on the bottom, but on mine it's on the top.

Not sure what the deal with the schematic is, but we just installed a set of BC Coilovers on a friends MKVI GLI and they were laid out the same way.

I don't know......... But if they can be installed either way, I'd put the adjustment on the bottom for easier excess to the adjustments.

They're installed correctly. While I only have springs, not coilovers, I know for a fact that they will only fit correctly one way. Put them on upside down and the springs don't rest on the mounts. The diameter of the top of the spring is larger than the bottom.

I had a knocking noise from the rear after installing my H&R OE Sport springs. I had tightened every bolt I touched, but apparently not tight enough (even though they were very tight), so I went back and tightened them down a little more when possible and the knocking sound disappeared. I suspect it was the toe adjuster bolt that was still not tight enough. You may want to just go back and make sure every bolt you touched is as tight as possible (by hand, and don't go crazy and break a bolt), even if it seems like it should have been fine. That's what I had to do.

That's the part I didn't know(if the ends would mount on their mounts).

Aren't there any torque values for those nuts and bolts ?

Probably. It's a little difficult to maneuver my torque wrench (Craftsman manual gauge-style torque wrench, 1/2" drive) in the wheelwell though, and those bolts are really strong and hefty, so I just felt it out. They don't salt the roads here (FL) so I'm not too worried about the bolts seizing.

Straight from Ksport. I'm very curious to find out why they designed their part for a 2012 civic with a 06-11 civic part. I know it's a cheap part, but the fact they just saw "yeah use a part not designed for your car" kinda erks me. Now I have to spend more time working on this and I would have much rather they just included all the proper parts, or designed their part to actually fit the car it is intended to.

They did it because R&D on a new part that doesn't really need to change is a waste of money. Swap the isolators (make sure to hammer out the center plastic that prevents the isolator from sitting fully on the post) and 8th gen rears fit perfect. I'm using some myself (H&R OE Sport Springs).

It's really disappointing they didn't specify this though. Is it not posted on the product page on their website?
