Alright, let me apologize first for creating another thread on this topic. I have been reading and searching and I have yet to find the answer, so here we go.

Like the topic says: ASWC-1 or PAC SWI-RC Steering Wheel Control Interface?

I just ordered a Pioneer AVIC-6000NEX and all the parts to make the install, but I cannot decide for which SW control I want. Apparently the ASWC-1 can do the BT controls, and so does the PAC, but has anybody really achieved this? Every thread I've read says that the BT cannot work with the ASWC-1, but the installation instructions says it does. Now, PAC says the the BT unit is by the glove box and you need an extra interface to with a Y 3.5mm adapter (or just tap on the other one) in order to make the BT work. I'm sure everyone has seen the cables you need to wire, so I'll not get into that, but what I want to know is who has the BT control actually working with an aftermarket HU and how.

Sorry for the long thread and thanks in advance!

I have no idea on that one…never seen the Bluetooth module and haven't installed an aftermarket steering wheel control interface.

I'm not a tech savvy, but I guess I should just try it myself and see how it works. I did work with electronics for a few years, but I always fear I'll break something, lol. I'm just surprised that I have yet to see a success story on this matter.

Anyways, if you go to www.pac-audio.com and go to the specific instructions it says "**Bluetooth button retention will require the use of a second SWI module**" and "Connect the second INTERFACE's White wire to pin 15 (Blue) of the 32pin Bluetooth connector. Bluetooth module is located behind the glove box to the right."

Anyone tried that yet?
