Asinine ruling but ATE superblue brake fluid is off the US market. The ruling has something to do with archaic US laws about the colors of automotive fluids. Even after being available for about 15 years this brake fluid is currently BANNED!

Several Links:

Honestly just read this first one

(shows the letter from Continental)

You can still buy the Amber colored version called type200. It's wicked cheap at $15 for 1L. More than enough to do a full brake system flush on the civic. Yes there are other "better" brake fluids out there but this stuff doesn't require frequent changes which is nice.

Motul RBF600 is another great choice but require more frequent changes. If you are looking for a long lasting, say 3 year interval, higher than stock performance brake fluid the ATE Type200 Amber might be your stuff. Stay away from the SuperBlue lest you get found out and arrested!

What ever will the feds do when they find out that car companies are running different colored coolants! Aaaah!! Anarchy!!!

I put Ate Super Blue as the brake and clutch fluid last Spring so it's very recent. I'm not going to flush it. I'm sticking with those fluids until the next scheduled flush.

Why is the colour a law?????????
The same reason they would put "do not eat" on a Claymore mine. Or "sharp" on a knife.

And......... Airbag stickers all over our cars.

Lickily, I still have an unopened container. Sucks that it is off the market.

Yeah, swapping between the blue and the amber made fluid changes very very easy. Just bleed until the color changed and you knew all the fluid was out of the caliper/line.

I used to do the same.
