Better Suspension

Hi guys,

i was thinking of changing my shocks and struts, but i'm not much educated on that. I had an 08 accord, and i can tell right away the suspension was so much better on that. I would barely feel and bumps or potholes. With my 2012 civic, it's not bad but i'm sure it can be better. I'm wondering, what kind of suspension can i get which will give me a SMOOTH ride over all. i'm not into racing so i don't think i need performance. I just need smooth driving like the accord
 
eibach has springs for the non-si, as well as roadmagnet. D2 and ksport have coilovers for the non-si models. Those are the current options for lowering springs and coilovers at this point. All depends on your budget etc

!st let me say I don't know if what you want is out there, but from what you're asking, it sounds like you want softer springs as lowering spring (I think) would make it stiffer. If someone makes them I'd say a spring that is progressive(rather than a straight wind) that is softer than what your car comes with.

Since it's not something most ppl would want it's likely that you're going to not be able to find it......... but good luck.........
 
If you want softer, the only real option is to keep the stock springs and run the Koni Sport shocks. Installed on stock springs, they will feel softer than the stock setup because the stock shocks have lots of low speed compression damping that affects the shocks ability to absorb bumps.... which makes if feel more sporty but definitely degrades the ride comfort. The Konis actually do a very good job of making the car feel more controlled without it being harsh.

no no, i'm not looking to lower or anything. i want something that will give me comfy ride like the old accord

As RedShiftChris said that's a good option, it won't lower it and the shocks he suggested well allow the springs to flow easier, and it should be a simple change out.
Your car is lighter than the Accord so needs a softer action. I was thinking softer springs but RSC is right as well and would probably be a change you can find.
