Bridesmaid attends wedding via iPad
A bridesmaid stuck 1,600 miles away was able to take part in her best friend's wedding virtually with the help of an iPad.
Renee Armstrong, who was in Virginia, followed the bride down the aisle in Denver courtesy of an usher holding a white iPad connected to her webcam.
The bridesmaid, who had done her makeup to match the wedding theme, even made it into the wedding photos of Jonathan Alberico and Jamie Wilborn who married last Saturday.
"Renee called dibs to be my bridesmaid many many moons ago and unfortunately she couldn't physically make it out here, but thank you technology," said newlywed Mrs Alberico.
Speaking via the iPad in her friend's arms, Ms Armstrong said: “It was great. I got all teary-eyed during the ceremony and I couldn’t have got that from pictures.”
