And the answer is a "NO".

So I have the OEM Compliance bushings for the 2012+ Civic (Left) and 2006-2011 Civic (Right). And here are the dimensions:

2012+ Civic:

-Max O.D.: 2.64"
-Max Height: 2.4775"
-Metal Casing height: 1.455"
-Sleeve I.D.: 0.56"
-Sleeve O.D.: 1.07"

2006-2011 Civic:

-Max O.D.: 2.57"
-Max Height: 2.4775"
-Metal Casing height: 1.265"
-Sleeve I.D.: 0.56"
-Sleeve O.D.: 1.07"

The only major difference between the two compliance bushings is the maximum diameter. Even a 0.07" difference is pretty significant for fit and function. Therefore, a 9thgen cannot use 8thgen aftermarket compliance bushings (Energy, Traction Balls, etc).

Nicely done dar! I was curious about this as I have the energy RSX bushings pressed into my front LCAs. What a difference. I am looking at new LCAs and getting proper traction balls at some point though.

Thanks. The 8thgen compliance bushings are exactly the same as the RSX's. As well as 2001-2005 Civic, 2002-2006 CRV, 2003-2006 Element. :D

It seems like people are having issues with traction balls getting rusty in areas that get snow/road salt. Members on the TL forums also inject these compliance bushings like how engine mounts are injected which makes the bushings stiffer and more rigid.

I do have MOOG's new spherical bushings which are like BLOX's but sealed and greased. Hopefully, MOOG makes these for the 9thgens.
