MILLVILLE – Two girls would have had some explaining to do to their mothers had they been caught stealing a pregnancy test kit from the North High Street Rite Aid on Monday.
A pharmacist at the store said he had seen the two stroll out of the pregnancy test aisle and make a beeline for the bathroom. He described them as black females between the ages of 17 and 20, and said one was wearing a long sleeved pink shirt and black shorts while the other was wearing a pink T-shirt and white shorts.
The pharmacist had an urge to use the restroom a short while later and appropriately went to the men's facilities.
He opened the door and much to his surprise found the two girls standing in the bathroom, one holding the pregnancy test.
The pharmacist checked with the cashier and discovered the girls had not paid for the kit. He returned to confront the girls but they had already left the store, leaving only an empty pregnancy test box in the bathroom.
Police did not name any suspects Tuesday. Rite Aid management said they would provide a CD copy of the store's video surveillance.
