Anyone work at a Dealership? Need Black Book Value on my current car.

2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS
2.4L SOHC Mivec Engine
5spd Manual Transmission w/Overdrive
39,XXX Miles
6 Disc (650W) Rockford Fosgate Stereo System w/10" Subwoofer
Heated Leather Seats
Power Sliding Sunroof

Sooner I can get rid of it, the sooner I can get back into an Si.

Appreciate it, although KBB Values are never accurate. Black Book Value is usually lower.

A lot of dealerships honor the nada value even in excellent condition. Thats why they paid 17k for my charger though I did have to negotiate for an hour to get that.

Based on numbers, or just an assumption? I'm thinking the same, but if they offer me anything close to the NADA Values, lets hope, I'll grab a '12 CBP FG4 mañana and call it a day. I just need to break even.

Auction averages.

They should offer you a little more than that if you're going for a trade in. 11-12k Should still leave them some room to make a couple dollars.

I don't know what v-auto is going to spit out though.....

Hell, if I break even at nine, then I'll be satisfied. Guess I'll swing by tomorrow after work and see what they say. The Used Car Manager is a friend of a friend. Sold me an '09 FA5 a few years ago for a steal. Same situation. Was sitting on the lot after the '10's were released, so I saved a couple grand. Only difference here is, everyone's wanting '13's!

kbb says
10,6xx for good
9,4xx for fair

It's all a numbers game. They can give you 11k for you car and give you crap off the sticker on a new car. They can give you crap on your car and give you huge discounts off msrp on the civic. Or... they can do a combination of both. They can adjust your interest rate up, or countless other things to adjust the numbers in their favor.

You should be able to do like 1500 off sticker and get around 10 trade on your car. If they won't work around those numbers, I'd visit another dealer. A number of dealers need used cars.

I owe $9k on the 4G, and they have THREE '12 CBP Coupes on their lot that haven't moved in over a month. They're advertising $21k, which is decent, but I'll bug him until I get closer to $19,500. If I'm not a big enough pest, I'll bring our mutual friend along, which is what I did last time, who's a pain in both our asses.

seeing as how the base si coupe is 23,3XX with destination .... :eekdancesmiley: good luck? 21,7XX is invoice.

If you get 19,5XX.... they'd have go give you garbage on your car, or offer you a ridiculous interest rate. I think a few users bought 2012's around 19,5xx when the 2012's were being liquidated by dealerships. Honda instructed dealerships to basically sell them off at any cost so they weren't on the lot when 2013's arrived. Some users are still finding them on the lots.

If that's truly invoice, then I have no issue paying their asking price. Seems fair. I just want to get into another car before summer, because after that, all monies will be siphoned into our wedding funds. No bueno.

$21,709 with destination (2013 base si)

it means nothing... the only thing that matters are the numbers the dealership gives you on the full picture. Trade/Sale.

Says he'll sell me one of the '12's for $20k. Sounds good to me. Just need to save a couple more checks.

Seeing the leftover 2012 Si coupes w/o nav for $18,995 at the local dealer. They have 6 2012 Si coupes still.
