Hey guys I'm gonna put my skunk2 8th gen springs on this weekend was wondering does anyone have experience in cutting these springs if so how much should I cut I have 17s and wanna fill the gaps front and back thanks guys

yea the ride gets a little stiffer in the back. but its not terrible. obviously a good set of coilovers will ride better. but i only paid 100 for the springs. so ill deal with it till my stock struts blow.

I've recently bought some Skunk2 Lowering Springs, I went to a local shop last week hoping to install them and the guy who was willing to work on my car told me "these springs are not going to drop your car, basically your car will look stock". After he told me that, I decided not to go through with getting it dropped because I do not want to waste money if my car will not drop. So my question would be, how much of a drop will I actually get with these springs, and if I decided to cut the springs how much would I possibly cut?

merged your thread with another members... see above for what others did

edit - I just realized you have an EX... I don't think anyone has put skunk2's on an EX and cut them etc.

part of the problem in the rear has to do with the 8th generation spring isolators that are needed. Extra weight will obviously help matters. Not sure if he has any audio equipment in his car or not. You could ask him in his thread?

alrighty sir, thank you for the help provided.

I have no audio, the rear is still high. Its been like a month or so with my skunk2 springs. It settled down a little, not as bad now.

Honestly dont ever go to that shop again. Sounds like a complete moron. I wouldn't let him fill my washer fluid.

The skunk2 springs are a REALLY good drop for just being springs. I only cut 2 coils off each rear spring so it would look even with the front. i also used the 8th gen isolators like everyone else.

But seriously, Do not ever step foot in that shop again.
