Ordered a set of DDM Tuning Hids (Alot of talk throughout various forums about how good/bad these are.) I will be as objective as possible.

First off there customer service is lacking. When I asked questions I received generic pre-written responses. -1

Ordered HIDs on a MOnday morning 3/4/2013. Received no communication.Until I myself opened a ticket to see if ordered had been processed or shipped. -1

After opening a ticket I received an Email on 3/7/2013 stating that my order was already at the post office and I will receive a tracking number when it ships. -0

March 8th I receive Email that my order has been fullfilled along with a tracking number starting with LNxxxxxxxxCN. This means CHINA. -5

No where on their site does it say they are drop shipping HIDs from China. If they did state that then ok. I was just confused and angry because I was not expecting this.

Sent them a couple of emails stating the above. Their answer was their distributor is in China...blah blah. Wtvr.

Now 3/16/13 - Received HIDs. Doesn't say DDM anything on the box. This is a joke right?

NO BRAND-NO LABELS- NOT EVEN A STICKER-- THE HIDS DID FEEL RUGGED AND WELL MADE AS OPPOSED TO MOST EBAY OONES SO THATS DEFINATELY A POSITIVE.

NOW ILL TEST THESE AND LET YOU GUYS KNOW. DONT GET ME WRONG. EXPERIENCE SO FAR HAS NOT BEEN POSITIVE BUT IT ALL COMES DOWN TO PRODUCT FUNCTIONALITY. ALTHOUGH I WOULD PROB NOT DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THEM DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS MISLED ABOUT THE ITEM AND ITS ORIGIN AND ALSO RECEIVED INDIFFERENT RESPONSES TO MY RAISED ISSUES.

BTW i picked up a set of
55w 5000k low beam(OEM White after 55w color washout- at least thats what i expect.)
35w 4500k fog lights (OEM White)

I could have told you DDM ships their HIDs from China lol. I ordered them shortly after I bought my car and it took about a month from time of order to delivery at my door.

i had the same experience. drop shipped from china with no labels or tags indicating it was even from DDM. ordered 5000k bulbs and they look so much more blue that i'd guess they're really 6000k. they work fine so far but do have a slight high-pitched whine from the ballasts. from what i've read on other forums, it seems ordering from them is a crapshoot. others who have ordered 4300k and 5000k bulbs also got bluish output, so some suspect that all the bulbs in their kits (at least 4300k, 5000k, and 6000k) are the same.

thiss is true...usually with off brand kits like these. the bulbs are all the same...

So all in all lesson here is
the feel of the HID Ballast is very well made compared to ebay 30dollar kits (these are onli an extra $10 because of shipping.)
Happy with the color(ebay could have been the same just like I am still happy with the ebay ones on my lx.)
(After I added foggies I ordered the fog hids wrong color- thats why they looked blue)

Issue with ebay lights is they are hit or miss.I hope these DDMs are a hit cuz i heard its the same with their HIDS hit or miss.

My 35w ddm low beams are still running great for 2+ years.

Mine are the lower tier Apexcones that DDM offered a long time ago. I think those DDM slims are better and will last longer, hopefully.

Btw, what made you choose the 55w for the low beams? I heard they put out more glare on the stock headlight housings.

While the product does come from china (which I knew to begin with), mine have been in for a little over a month and are still running strong.

Well this is a good question.I chose the 55 watt because of driveability. Regular lights work ok when driving in regular conditions.Hids as well. But both seem to cripple when the weather changes In rainy conditions especially. The 55watt lights are so much brighter that one can actually see the ground and since their color washes out the 55s have that OEM look.

these videos are examples. theres so much more light on the ground with 55s its not even comparable.

Ah. I guess it's okay for me since I have yellow fog lights (halogens). It truly is a pain driving in the highway during a rainy condition at night.

I ordered from DDM and my experience wasnt so pleasant. I actually got them pretty quick, even though they came from China took about 2 weeks from my order date. I received them yesterday packed just like yours, mine didnt fit at all!!! They didnt go in what so ever I even tried trimming down the little wedges around the bulb that hold it in place cause they were too big and not in the correct position and still nothing. I already had my battery out and wiper fluid reservoir out and all that stuff so I just went to auto zone this morning and got Sylvania Silverstar ZXE bulbs..these will do till I buy a good quality HID kit. No more DDM for me.

i live nearby to one o the ddm tuning stores... so i just went there and picked it up. i got it for $35. only thing i didn't like was when they said they'd open at 9am... they dude didn't get to the shop until 30 minutes later... the only reason i waited was because i had absolutely nothing to do that day but to buy hids and install thẹm lol. other than that íve been pretty happy with the bulbs.
