I have noticed there are a handful of us that seem to be on the boards fairly early in the morning. I figured I would follow in @MrsJrotax101's footsteps and "copy" the idea of the night owl thread. I figure it will probably turn into an early morning chat thread.

At work for the last hour.... Wanna go back to bed on this cold rainy day thou... At least I should be able to get off early.::

Yeah I have to get up at 6 and be at work at 7:30. You can call me early riser, but on the weekend I won't wake up till noon.

Government contractor. The building opens at 0500am and i have to work 8 hours. Off at 1330 :D
The normal shift is 0600-1430 but 40 hours is 40 hours. I like to beat traffic by going in early and leaving early.

 The mixing of military and civilian time was driving me nuts!

I go in early to avoid the traffic, too. Tough trade off for sleep as I am by no means a morning person. Plus I like the peace and quiet of the office for this first hour or so.

I am not sure what you are talking about...

:shadyhat:

What else to do when there is literally nothing to do at work

My bad I write it both ways, I work for the military and I am a civilian. I fill paperwork out daily in both military and civilian form. I guess I jumbled them.

You are ruining the theme. I was expecting to read:

I'm usually at work between 6:30 and 7am. It gives me 1-2 hours of uninterrupted work internet time before the fan blades start to cake up.

Seriously, though, I wish I had enough to keep me busy at work.

There are people all around me that camp out on the internet all day - I see them.

I go on for a couple of minutes at a time, usually a couple of times each day. Sometimes I have more time, but most times I can't.

My job allows me to define and control my work content - new product development engineer. I am endlessly creating opportunities to justify my existence within the company. I like to know that I am directly responsible for bringing in jobs/customers that equal at least 10x my annual salary. I want people to think long and hard about whether they should can my *** or not.
