I just received a letter from Honda that my 2012 Civic has a recall for PCM reprogramming due to excessive emissions. They are requesting I bring it in to have the PCM software updated. Im concerned if I do this will it affect performance? Loss of power etc.
 
Possible loss of power, they usually do with an emission reflash. But you should not notice it, maybe -5hp? They say you need to make 40 more horsepower to 'feel' a difference.

But saying will it affect performance? No.
Hey it could even run leaner and make some power... Leaner air fuel ratio is power
