I was driving in the rain and it was pretty chilly out and my TPMS light came on, didn't think much because when it gets cooler the TPMS light usually comes on and then goes off. But the light has been on for a few weeks now and it is annoying!! I checked my tire pressure and they're all even, I have even added way more air than I should and then released it but the light still doesn't come off. Has anyone had this happen to them? My cars warranty just expired and don't want to fork over a lot of money.

you could take the car to an autozone etc and have them use a scanner. It may say low battery, or some other error. I've had that done when a tpms light would not go off. Turned out to be a bad battery in one tpms unit.

When they scan, it lets them know exactly whats wrong with each TPMS sensor?

@webby I went to Auto Zone and they told me, the scanner they have only reads the check engine light, any other ideas on where I can go? I was going to try advanced but the line was huge and I was in a rush after work

A line to get in a auto parts store? WOW........ Anyway...... Advanced would be "MY" next option. Pep Boys, etc..

And, everyone who's reading this, remember to thank these auto parts stores for their service, and keep it free....

I had a local mechanic pull the code with a standard obd2 code reader. Not sure why theirs wouldn't work.

One of my valves on my tps sensors broke so I ended up replacing it. I reprogrammed all of the sensors and the light went off. Then a few days later the light popped back on. SOOO I reprogrammed it again (after making sure all the pressures were right obviously) and that was that. Later that same day the light went back on. It's really bothering me because with our cars if the tpms light is on you can't turn off the traction control which kills my launches.
Not sure if it's a defect in the new sensor or a defect in the monitoring system itself. Any ideas? Car is under warranty but trying to avoid the dealership. Thanks.
