Firefighter's helmet camera shows house fire blaze up close

First person footage from a firefighter's helmet camera shows the Hackensack Fire Department tackling a blaze at a house in New Jersey.

The video starts with the firefighter adjusting the camera and focuses on black smoke billowing from a house up ahead.

After donning breathing apparatus, the firefighter is seen to enter the two-storey residence along with colleagues and ascending a central staircase and setting to work putting out the blaze.

Captain Peter Danzo, commenting on the video, spoke proudly of his team.

He wrote: 'The 1st floor was clear, they maintained the stairs, the fire was vented, they were wearing full PPE [Personal Protective Equipment], they knocked down the heavy fire before advancing further and they stayed together!!

'They did a great job!!' he added. 'Text book operation."

Pretty cool vid. Poor house though. :sadbanana:

The area doesn't seem like the Hackensack I go to. Maybe it's more north.
