Fog lamp bulb replacement on 2015 coupe... how?

I’m trying to replace a log lamp on my 2015 civic coupe, but I can’t seem to get the plastic covers off. There’s only one video on YouTube showing these particular year/body fog lamps, though mine isn’t an SI. I’ve unscrewed the one long internal screw. The guy says I then have to pop the round plastic cover out of the clips, but in the video he’s already done it... I can’t figure it out. It just doesn’t want to budge.

Does anyone know how to get these off?

Very simple just pull that black plastic off mine was a bit tuff too the first time I took them off. And then just pull the 2 screws out.

Thanks. My manual doesn’t have that page. Perhaps they were put on by the previous owner. Still trying to pry them off with no success though.

Just squeeze the corner in the middle and pull should pop out

Squeezing, pressing in with the screwdriver. This thing just doesn’t want to budge.

Nah, grab here and pull20190520_191715.jpg

This is what the clip looks like.

I mean, I understand it should pop off like that. I’ll give it another go tomorrow.

Unscrewed that screw as well. Still won’t budge!

Gonna give it another go tonight.

Well, we managed to get them off and replaced.

My brother-in-law came over to give it a go. He’s more handy than I.

Turns out, my covers have clips all around the outside and look different than any others I’ve seen here or elsewhere. The “tab” was irrelevant in the end.

But, success!

Thanks for the help, guys.

Nice!! Glad to see you got it off. I have no idea why they made it harder to get off for.

Good to know about those clips when I have to do mine.
