Hi everyone, just thought I would share this in case someone experiences the same issue I did.
I took a drive in the country and on the way back, went to open my moonroof and the auto function stopped working.
It would open and close if I held the button, but the auto open/close/pop-up functions weren't working.
Scared that I broke it somehow, I went to the dealership and explained my problem.
The tech sat in my car, opened and closed my moonroof, got out and said it was fixed.
He explained: low hanging power lines and other electrical interference can sometimes mess with the controls in the roof, and he simply reset it by doing this:
1. Turn the ignition on
2. Hold the auto open button and keep holding it until 3 seconds after the roof is open.
3. Hold the auto close button and hold until 3 seconds after the roof is closed.
All fixed!
After the fact, I Googled it like I should've done in the first place and found it was the same for the 8th civics, but thought I would post it here for anyone searching.
