Gear for autox

What is everyone using for a gear in autox. I had my first autox this past Sunday and I was hitting the limiter frequently in second but wasn't really comfortable to do shifting in the course yet. Has anyone tried running in third before?

2 most of the time. 3rd on a fast course. Sometimes shifting is not worth it so I let it bounce a bit If I don't make up for time shifting.

Definitely 2nd. I've heard a lot of other cars hit the limiter for second at my first autoX event, but I don't think it was worth the time and effort to shift.

I wish our cars had a higher speed for second. I might experiment next time with throwing it in third for the whole run. Guess I won't know until I experiment.

Has anyone tried running a slightly larger diameter tire to get a bit more speed out of 2nd gear with the stock redline?
