Good deal?

You can make them work. A lot of guys run a stretched tire so they don't have to do fender work. I advise against that, but that is personal preference and opinion. I don't hate on them for doing it but I generally think it unsafe. If you want to run a thick tire you will most likely rub. I know some people do and some don't. Or say they don't. I think there is some variance in the factory fenders anyway. I rubbed one side but not the other. Figure that one out, sheesh.

A 235/40 is a fantastic tire size and you may be able to get away with the shorter sidewall. I would not run anything narrower than a 225 width on a 9" rim and even at that you will still have a slight stretch to the sidewalls.

If you love the wheels, and you get them, and you need fender work done, let me know. I'm only a couple hours away and I;m making a trip up to Chicago at some point anyway to do fender work. You may have to stash them for a couple months until the warmer weather hits. Unless you have a heated garage to work in! hahaha
