GT-R can fly!

For a heavy car, it can definitely fly. Lol.

GTR is an amazing car, wonder why so many unfit drivers actually buy them... I am sure there's some people that know what to do with them but man so many nice cars get abused by people that should never buy them. Sad for the car :(

I agree with you!
Not to mention the other ppl that use the road... It makes since to me why the ppl that have the money to buy a high powered car would want and buy them........... and there's nothing to prevent just anyone from buying what they want.
There really isn't anything we can do about it, other than call it in when we see someone driving like an idiot, but under most laws that's not going to stand up in court either.
The best we can do is keep an eye out so we might be able to get out of the way from getting hit.
Also after watching the vid a few times, the ones recording the event could have possibly been passing on a blind hill theirselves, although that's a little harder to tell from the vid, as opposed to being there.

Very good point. Also the GTR driver could have saved the whole thing by not hesitating and going on the wrong way, he was there already, the loss of control was caused by fast throttle liftoff due to air he caught, hard breaking and indecisive wheel input. I am sure a GTR would be too much of a car for me as well but I would not do that in a million times, the stronger the car you drive the calmer and smoother one has to be, unless you see the terrain, know the road and ideealy do it on a track not on a road. That car can do 0 to 60 miles in arround 3 seconds, I think that in itself is insane fun without having to overtake on a blind hill... But that is just me :)

Interesting fact the car filming is as well a GTR, you can tell by the hood bumps and the cockpit curving on the drivers side. No ideea what year.

Which is why(I'm guessing) they probably wanted to make that pass the way they did.........

I just did a bunch of pauses and the airborne car had their brake on while it was in the air, as opposed to keeping the rpm's up so that the wheels would turn the correct speed not to cause the rear end to slide out.

Senna was the greatest! His driving on a wet track, almost loosing it every corner always amazed me, never saw somebody else to do it quite like that. Especially when back then f1 cars were even more beastly than nowadays :)
Nice to see another F1 fan on the 9th. Senna is still the bar that a modern F1 driver is measured by.. His qualifying was always amazing to watch even when he was in a car lacking power.

Hard not to be one. I think this is why I like the Si so much as well. Is it the faster car for the segment/s, maybe not. It is one of the few naturally aspirated high reving engines, if not the only one. I also like the non turbo f1 era more, it is the contemporary one to my watching it at least so maybe I am full of it :)

sad thing to see this car destroyed, still my favorite car of all time. The R34 that is

The old bulb just went off.......... someone said they think it could have been a group of those cars/ppl riding/rally (did see her holding what could have been a navi-sheet in her hand) together like our 9th group at the Dragon........... If that's so they should have stopped to check on them.......... If not......?
