Hello everyone! I am in need of some help setting up a sub...
I do no know much about cars or audio for that matter. I just bought a 14' Si coupe a few months ago and just purchased a used sub/amp set-up from a good friend and am in need of help setting it up. Here is what I currently have:
Kenwood 1800watt mono amp
12" Kicker L7 Sub-woofer
The sub is already in a custom made box with the amp mounted on top of it. I plan on placing this in my trunk..
With those known what types of cables do I need for sub-to-amp and amp to head unit? I understand I may need a line-output converter to RCA inputs of the head unit (suggestions on a brand?).
Is it difficult getting to the back of my head unit ? And do I need to take out the stock amp since I am plugging in a new powerful one?
I just want to use my car speakers for sound and then the sub for heavy base (yet customize the sound a bit to not be crazy with bass but loud if I want it to be).
How does this all come together? Any suggestions/ help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
